4 Months Old!

Hey everyone! Since I last blogged I turned four months old.  I'm now 1/4 of a year old!  To celebrate, Daddy put the jumperoo together.  I think it's great fun and my parents are happy to have something else entertain me.

I'm all smiles these days and really giggly!  I'm sooooo ticklish.  When someone is changing my clothes I start giggling just seeing their hands come near me!

The sun came out a few times in the last two weeks so I got to use my new hat.  It's still a little big!

Now that I'm exclusively in 6 month gear and some days it's been nice and warm, it's opened up my nautical wardrobe.  I have quite a few different submarine/boat/various nautical themed outfits.

Last Saturday night my parents and Megan went to the Twins game. I'm not old enough to go to the game, so I stayed home with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Steve.  They were nice enough to come up to babysit me.  Steve took lots of good pictures while he was here.

My fish on my swing are still some of my best friends.  When I go in the swing I almost immediately start babbling away.

I am just so cute!

Grandpa and I outside.  People love my facial expressions especially my very defined eyebrows!

Here I am wearing the onesie that one of Nana's friends made for me.  Now no one has to ask me my name, just check the shirt!

A better look at my shirt

I went for my 4 month checkup on Monday.  Here are my stats:
Height: 25 1/4
Weight: 15 pounds 2 ounces (well anywhere between 2-4 oz. I kept wiggling around and the scale kept going back and forth!)
Head circumference: 16.25

I was in the 50th percentile for everything!  Doctor called me "square"!

At 4 months I can roll over both ways. I've had much more success going from tummy-to-back but I can go back to tummy if I get frustrated enough.

I have tried rice cereal and pears.  The first few attempts at feeding me didn't go too well. I would take a few bites and then burst out crying and it would all be over.  Then Mommy got smarter and tried feeding me at my happiest time, and I ate the whole bowl.  So now she just feeds me when in my best mood...immediately after nursing.

I am getting more and more interested in toys and putting things in my mouth.  I'm still very drooly!

My sleeping is inconsistent.  One night I'll sleep 12 hours straight, the next night I'll get up once, and then maybe some night just for fun I'll get up twice.  I take between 3 and 4 naps per day depending on what time I get up in the morning and how long I nap.  I usually go to bed around 8 or 8:30 p.m. and get up for the day between 7-8 a.m.

I'll leave you with a fun video of me laughing at my silly sister Megan

Captain Adorable (14-15 weeks)

Hello everyone! It's me, the future Prince Charming.  That's what my onesie says anyway.  My parents got this for me at Disney World this fall.  I'm hoping they don't think that they can get away with just getting me a onesie! I need to go to Disney World sometime too!  Big sister Megan mentions this a lot!

Spring has sprung but winter has still been rearing it's ugly head around here.  On this particular day it was 70 and sunny.  We went for two stroller rides on this day.  Megan rode her bike this time.  The first walk of the day was in our new double stroller that Mommy says is "quite the workout".  Apparently pushing 55 pounds of kids plus the weight of the stroller and my car seat that attaches is a lot of hard work! Especially up hills.

I look kind of grumpy here but I really did enjoy my ride...so much so that I fell asleep!

Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Steve came up last Saturday for Mommy's birthday.  Mommy wanted to go out to dinner someplace without me..imagine that.  My parents enjoyed eating a dinner at a more normal pace and not the scarfing that usually happens.  And they both got to eat with both hands and order something that needed a knife and fork (and not something one-hand-held!)

Daddy took Megan and I to the park on Mommy's birthday so she could have some time to herself.  I took another snooze.  Stroller rides are so relaxing!

Megan doesn't like it when Mommy calls me Mickey Mouse.  She says, "His name is ANDREW!!"

My wardrobe is depicting this must have been a colder weather day.  We had a few snowstorms here in the last two weeks.  We *think* we finally had the last one this week.  Schools were closed on May 2.  Crazy!!
 It's me, Captain Adorable

This is Megan and me, and my new quilt my Nana made me.  Megan made up this game where we were supposed to pretend to be sleeping.  I didn't quite get it. I just sat here smiling!

My uncle sure does rock!  I guess my hand is covering up the "rocks" part of my onesie.

  • I'm finally done with all of my medications and treatments for pneumonia.  I'm doing MUCH better now.  I'm also sleeping better which is making Mommy really happy.  I reverted back to newborn-ish sleeping habits that she wasn't real impressed with.  You know, the old, wake up several times and then stay awake for a long time type stuff.  I haven't slept all night since before I had pneumonia but I've gotten pretty close.  I usually make it until 4 or 5 am before I need to eat and then go back to sleep until 7 or 8.  Last night I woke up at 3 though so Mommy is hoping this isn't a trend.  I'm supposed to be going the OTHER direction on the clock!
  • I've really been giggling a lot lately. I started probably 3 weeks ago or so.  I've also become very ticklish.  I give the cutest giggles when getting dressed in the morning. It tickles so much!!
  • I'm extremely close to rolling over from back to front.  This morning I almost did front to back as well.  I'm going to be a rolling machine pretty soon!  Then WATCH OUT!
  • I had my 3 month pictures taken today at JCPenny.  I did ok.  Between trying to wipe all my drool and me not being that impressed with posing, my parents weren't sure how they were going to turn out but there were a couple good ones.  Megan and I posed for a few, and to not leave Megan out, she got her picture taken too. Of course she is like a professional model so hers all turned out amazing.  I just need a little more practice in front of the camera I think.
  • Speaking of drooling, I'm a drooling machine.  Perhaps I will be the opposite of my sister and get teeth early.
