I got my first bath shortly after being born. I was NOT a big fan of the bubble bath. Mommy was jealous that I got to have a nice bath. She wasn't allowed out of bed to bathe until Friday night and had to settle for a sponge bath.
I was very alert for several hours after being born. Then I enjoyed my first meal and settled in for a long nap. Being born is exhausting!
After my extended nap I got to meet my big sister Megan for the first time. I think she likes me. She loves giving me kisses and holding me.
My grandma got to hold me too. She seems pretty nice. I think I'm going to like her too!
Later our friends Matt and Diane along with Nolan and Logan came to visit us. I've heard so much about them. Unfortunately I was soo sleepy that I slept through their entire visit.
Daddy and me!
The next day I got to meet my uncle Steve. I got my middle name from him! He took lots of great pictures of Megan and me.
Can you feel the love?
My family!
A sleepy me
More cuddles from Megan
Here I am ready to go home!
All bundled up! It was really really really cold outside.
All nice and clean after my bath!
Additional stuff!
- At discharge, I weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces. Two days later at my followup appointment I weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces.
- On Friday I had my circumcision. I weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces (only 2 ounces away from my birth weight) so the doctor was happy about that. I did very well with my procedure. I ended up falling asleep during it. The cheeks rubbing and sugar water I got to slurp on really made me feel good. My parents felt less bad about the procedure after finding out I fell asleep during it. I've done really well since.
- I'm sleeping "ok" at nights. Some nights are better than others. My parents are excited for the day when I sleep in some longer stretches and eat a little faster.
- I'm doing really well with nursing and I don't seem to have the spitting up issues my sister had as a baby so my parents are hopeful I will be much less barfy than Megan.
- We managed to all make it to church on Sunday. I was very alert at the beginning when I got to meet a lot of people. I made it all the way to the sermon before I let out a loud cry and Mommy whisked me out to feed me.

Yay, another momma delivering without any drugs!!! Power to the WOMAN!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear you are less 'barfy' than your sister.
I think it's funny that we still have the exact same baby car seat, and the same pram!
