2 Months Old! (8-9 weeks)

Hello!  I am all smiles these days.  Once I get going, the smiles are contagious and don't stop!  I'm wearing a sweater that my Nana knit for me.  It is so cozy and has kept me warm on these cold January...I mean March nights.  It has been really cold and snowy here.  Everyone over the age of 4 is really sick of winter.  I've been taking it in stride.

 And the photobomber is back!

Nana made us matching sweaters for Christmas.  Again, kind of ridiculous that late March is still a good time for warm sweaters but alas, that is life in Minnesota.

I can't wait until I can sit up on my own...then I'll have more opportunities for photos by myself.  Right now I need someone or something to hold me up.  Luckily I have a big sister that is a good holder!  She's better than the pink chair!  This week she helped give me a bottle. She's been really really wanting to do this for a long time. She did a very good job.

To keep with our theme of matching outfits, we wore our Mickey and Minnie Mouse outfits this week.  I was not a big fan of my Mickey Mouse ears, but at least we got a non-crying picture.

Just hanging out in my tub.  The "Bath Luve Frog" has yet again proven to be a bath time essential. It keeps me nice and warm while I chill out in the bathtub and get clean.

What else is new?
  • I had my 2 month checkup.  I weighed 12 pounds, 1 ounce and was 22 inches long.  I was 50th percentile for weight and 12th percentile for height.  My doctor thinks my length will catch up to my weight in no time.  Plus the infant measuring system isn't real accurate.  I did well getting my shots.  I cried a little when I got them but quickly got over it.
  • My sleeping at night has improved.  I have been going to bed between 9-9:30 and sleeping until 3 or 4 a.m. Then I eat and go back to sleep until 7 or 8.  Everyone is really happy with this new plan.  And everyone is really hoping that this continues!
  • I went to my first German restaurant this weekend.  Big sister went to Grandma's for the weekend.  Mom and Dad wanted me sleeping through dinner so we crossed the river over to Wisconsin to give me enough time to fall asleep in the car.  I woke up in the middle of dinner so they started scarfing their food thinking they needed to make a quick exit.  Then I went back to sleep so they decided to order dessert.
