This is my Great Aunt Judy and me snuggling on the couch.
This is Daddy..of course.
We had a great time at Uncle Steve's birthday party. The next morning we went to the fire station for a pancake breakfast. Luckily I had a firetruck shirt to wear so I fit in really well. I got to meet a few people there too!
Daddy and me and my firetruck shirt!
We made it home with no issues. Big sister didn't need any potty breaks and I slept the entire time. Those two are related as it seems like as long as the car is moving, I sleep. If we stop, I wake up.
Big smiles at home!
Water park time. It was hard getting my attention. Too much to look at!
I didn't do a lot of swimming but I did somewhat enjoy this bouncy swing thing. I wasn't smiling but I wasn't crying so we'll call that success. It was a little overwhelming!
We went to the water park with some of our good friends and stayed in a big cabin. It worked really well and was big enough for us all.
I was the center of attention at this moment.
The trip home was fun! We stopped in Menomonie and had lunch and got to see where Mommy went to college. We also saw where she lived and where Uncle Steve lived when he went to that college too! A nice trip down memory lane for Mommy. She can't believe that she graduated ten years ago!
I've gotten really "chatty". This is a video of me talking. I think I was discussing my favorite fish friends.
What else is new with me?
- Last Monday (4/15) I weighed 14.9 pounds according to Wii fit
- I slept all night (from 8:30 pm to 7:30 am) two nights in a row. My parents were thrilled. I haven't been able to do that since. But most nights I wake up once. Sometimes twice if the first time I wake up is early.
- I am a drooling machine! Some days I wear a bib to catch the drool so my shirt doesn't get so wet.
- I am starting to roll to the side but not all the way over. I love just laying down on a blanket and looking around and kicking my feet.
So Mommy got most of my blogging done yesterday during nap time but was waiting for the videos to process. Luckily she didn't finish because most of the excitement of my week happened after 6 pm. I started having a cough on Sunday when we were leaving our water park vacation. Mommy didn't think much of it because Megan has had an intermittent cough for about a week that never turned into anything. No fever, no chills, no runny nose, not acting sick, etc. Nothing! On Monday my cough got a little worse and Mommy declared that I had a cold. I was still in pretty good spirits and Mommy thought she'd take me into the doctor if I got any worse. I drank my nighttime bottle and Mommy put me to bed like usual. Once I laid down I was not a happy camper. Usually I just fall asleep but I got irritable and started wheezing. Daddy brought me downstairs and after I calmed down I stopped wheezing so Mommy thought I was probably ok. We spent some time in the rocking chair and the wheezing came back so my parents decided I should go to urgent care. This was more exciting than usual because it was snowing like crazy outside (I know! Late April Winter Storm Warnings are ridiculous!) Mommy braved the roads and we got to Urgent Care. My cough and wheezing got worse and worse. They tested me for RSV, influenza, and got a chest x-ray. The RSV and influenza were negative but the x-ray showed I have pneumonia. I got a nebulizing treatment and some steroid medication to help me breathe. At one point they talked about me being transferred to the children's hospital for an overnight stay but my breathing improved with the nebulizer so I was able to go home. The doctor said I should sleep in the same room as my parents so I got to sleep in my pack and play. I got up at 4 am for another nebulizing treatment and some milk and slept again until 7:15. This morning after dropping Megan off at preschool we saw my regular doctor who was pleased at how I was doing this morning. No need for a hospital stay. He said it was good I got treatment last night as I would have ended up in the hospital otherwise. So now I'm relaxing, taking my antibiotics, not enjoying my nebulizing treatments very much, and taking it easy.
At the doctor I weighed 14 pounds 6 ounces. Last night I was 14 pounds 10 ounces. I think the 4 oz difference might be due to how heavy my diaper was last night! And I had just had 7 ounces of breast milk before getting weighed last night. I was 24 3/4 inches long so that means I either grew nearly 3 inches in 1 month or they did a really bad job of measuring me last time. This length makes more sense for accuracy as I'm now wearing 6 month clothing.
So please keep me in your prayers that I recover from this icky illness quickly! Despite feeling icky, I've still managed to be in pretty good spirits and was very smiley at my appointment this morning. My doctor was training a new doctor and she said she wanted to steal me as a patient because I was so charming.
