7 Months!

Hi everyone!  Now that I'm 7 months it was time for me to start learning computing so I can blog all by myself and don't need to deal with all of my mom's editing!

I had my checkup with genetics at Children's Hospital in St Paul.  I keep growing and growing!  I was 19 pounds 3 ounces which was the 66th percentile (they are very exact at Children's!).  Mommy couldn't believe I gained a pound in less than 2 weeks but then remembered all the eating I had been doing and some late night/early morning wake ups.  This is the first time I've been above the 50th percentile for weight.  I was 68.9 cm which translates to about 2 feet three inches/27 inches.  This was the 44th percentile.  My head was 17.4 inches which was the 53rd percentile.  The good news from my visit there was that I'm perfectly healthy and was just born with a silly earlobe.  That was a relief for everyone!
This is me at Megan's last t ball game.  I decided to be sporty too in my Nike outfit!

We headed to Wells for Kernel days to help Grandma celebrate her birthday and also watch her as the Grand Marshal of the parade.  I had fun watching Megan jump in the inflatables. I can't wait to be able to jump!
I may not be able to jump but I'm king of getting my foot in my mouth.  My toes are soooo tasty!

Just smiling like I always do!

Megan got to ride in the convertible with Grandma and Grandpa.  My parents and I cheered from the sidelines as well as all of her other fans.  I felt super VIP!

I was not a big fan of the firetrucks at all!  Good thing Uncle Steve was there to protect me from all those big noisy trucks with their scary sirens!

On Sunday we went to the cabin to enjoy one last day there this summer.  Summer always goes too fast (or so I'm told..this is my first summer so it's all I really know!).  I'm getting better at my sitting but I definitely have to want to be sitting. Most of the time I'd rather be rolling or trying to crawl.  This sitting business is just plain boring.

This past weekend we went to our town's celebration. Megan played a game and "won" this pink bat.  I say "won" in quotes because it was really a pretty dumb game where all she had to do was scoop up ducks. It didn't matter how many ducks she got, or what ducks she got, no matter what she got to pick out any prize she wanted.  Lame!  But I was really happy with her prize choice. I found it hilarious.

The next day Mommy, Daddy, Megan and Uncle Steve headed to the state fair.  I stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa.  None of us enjoy the heat so we enjoyed our day in the air conditioning while the others sweated it out at the fair.  I was on my best behavior and was my charming self.

What else is new?
  • Mommy is no longer going to write glowing reports on my sleeping because every time she does then I decide to be a turkey and wake up in the middle of the night. Lately I've been sleeping all night but getting up super early.  This morning I got up at 7 and she was much happier with me.  We'll see what I decide to do tonight!
  • I'm still a great eater. I'm completely done nursing now.  Just formula for me.  I got to try Gerber puffs the other night and that was sure fun. It's so hard to put food in your mouth! Those tricky little puffs keep getting stuck to my wet, slobbery  hands.  My parents are happy that it keeps me more occupied during dinner and there's a greater possibility of them getting to eat their dinner without me on their lap trying to steal their food.
  • My favorite things are babbling, smiling, giggling at my sister, rolling all over, and trying to grab at everything!

I'm glad to hear the ear situation is no big deal at all. Whew!
