15 months

Hi everyone!  Just your typical Saturday morning, pushing around a teddy bear in my jammies!  I know I'm wearing reindeer PJ's in April, but hey...it's still been snowing here!

See this fingernail?  It's mine.  Want to guess where it spent 7 hours? Give up yet?  In Mommy's right eye!  I really don't enjoy getting my fingernails cut so Mommy needs to put me in a wrestling hold to get it done.  Her face was really close to my fingers and when she cut one of them, the nail went flying into her eye.  She immediately put me in my pack and play and tried to get it out with no luck.  It was stuck really far back in her eye and it wasn't budging.  When Daddy got home, she had to quickly leave to go teach a class.  So she spent most of the afternoon, and a good portion of the evening with this guy in her eye.  She was really glad to get home from her class and get Daddy's help.  Daddy was shocked when he saw how big it was.  Mommy's eye was pretty sore.  And I am very sorry.

It was time for the Macy's Flower Show. Megan was super excited about it.  I was kind of "meh" about it but I was more engaged this year than last.  Pretty sure I slept through the entire thing last year.  My favorite part was the frosted sugar cookie at the end.  I think I would have enjoyed it more had I been allowed out of my stroller but there were just way too many people there and too many beautiful things for me to destroy.

This was, we hope, the last measurable snow storm of the season.  One might argue that the season should have been over by now but I digress...   April snow playing is much warmer than January and therefore more fun for me.

I had to wear my sister's old boots which were a little too big for me, and I really didn't "get" how to walk in the snow so I crawled all over.

Our most successful dinners out include large quantities of macaroni and cheese.

Mom forgot my sippy cup so we thought we'd try it this way.  It didn't work very well.  Especially when I kept trying to put my hands in it.

That was some good mac and cheese!
We had a little birthday party for Uncle Steve.  Megan picked out party hats.  I wasn't too keen on actually wearing it.
 Looking cute!
I thought I'd show everyone how I've been working out lately.  Check out those abs!

My diet? Lots of carbs, fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, well lets just say I eat lots of food!  I do have a special affinity for birthday cake! You should have seen me when we went to the bakery to pick out things for Easter.  I went crazy seeing all the goodies!

 Big smiles after cake!

The snow finally melted and it was time to go to the park.  Megan really wanted me to play on the play equipment but my favorite things about parks are the wood chips and random leaves.

We headed to the Minnesota Children's Museum one day.  I haven't been there in a really long time. Last time I spent most of the time in the stroller because I couldn't do much.  Now that I'm cruising everywhere I had SO MUCH FUN!

The water tables were a favorite for sure.  It was good I had this little apron on!

I really enjoyed playing with all of the levers and knobs.

Then it was time to explore the rest of the museum.  Mommy had to chase me to get my apron off!

Daddy took Megan and me to the local indoor playground one afternoon while Mommy was making a bunch of freezer meals with friends.
Row, row, rowing my boat!

The pacifier is great for preventing me from putting my fingers in my mouth in public places.  This is part of our preventing stomach flu plan!

Just adding a little milk to my cottage cheese.

Our local Chuck E Cheese finally opened.  Megan has been talking and talking and talking about it forever.  I thought the rides were just "ok".  I really preferred climbing on them and them not actually moving.

They had a really nice little play structure where I spent most of my time.

I'm actually a pretty cheap date at Chuck E Cheese since I don't actually like it when you put the tokens in the machines and the play structure is "free".

The highlight of the afternoon was when Chuck himself graced us with his presence.  I really REALLY liked him.

Chuck thought he could get away from us... ha!  I could tell it was his first day on the job.

Chuck E needs a little more training in dealing with children. He seemed a bit annoyed by us.  It's going to be a long career for you mouse if that's your attitude!

Daddy was on a work trip to California last week so Mommy took us to do fun things to get out of the house and keep her sanity.  On this day we went to the Giggle Factory which is an indoor playground.  I wanted little to do with the special "toddler" area.  I just wanted to be like the big kids.  Unfortunately I couldn't exactly climb up the big structure so I spent most of my time on the little platform watching the kids go up!

I still really enjoy playing on beds.  Especially on Megan's bed because she has a mountain of soft, fluffy pillows and millions of cuddly stuffed animals.

We went to see the Easter bunny at the mall.  Megan really wanted to go on the carousel.  Mommy thought she could just pay for Megan to go on the ride and we would watch but she wasn't tall enough to go by herself according to this carousel (even though she's done it by herself a million times other places) so Mommy forked over another 2 dollars for me to go on too.  She didn't really care about the 2 dollars, it was more the fact that I really am not into rides.  I didn't cry but I wasn't exactly thrilled about it.

The Easter bunny was so hilarious.  He liked to tickle me with his fur and bounce me up and down.  That made for a fantastic picture!

I had a really fun Easter at Grandma's house.  Grandpa bought this fun egg decorating spinner thing.

The bunny brought me lots of cuddly things.  The bunny didn't bring me a spray bottle.  I just snatched that from Grandma's ironing supplies.

When we got home I had ANOTHER basket from the Easter bunny.

The bunny gave me bunny ears!  So cute!
Hop! Hop! Hop!
After we got home from Easter celebrating we went for a family walk to the park.  Megan rode her bike, and I took a relaxing ride in the stroller.  I was so relaxed I thought it was time to put my feet up.

Swing time!

I can say "Weeeee!" now.  It's very adorable.

I had my 15 month checkup yesterday!  Here are my stats
  • Weight: 25 pounds, 10 ounces (90th percentile)
  • Height: 33 inches! (95th percentile.  I'm estimated to be 6'2 as a grown up!)
  • Head circumference:  18.75 inches (75th percentile)
I learning more and more words. My new words since last blog.. "Nigh nigh" (night night!), "Ease" (please), done, this, mommy (also call her mama sometimes), bye.  One day I kept saying "Bobby" but I don't actually know anyone named Bobby so my mom couldn't figure out what I was trying to say.  I think it was fun to say.  The word I say the most is "Hi" because once you say it to someone, they say it back, and then I say it again, and then they say it back, and so on and so forth.

I am running all over the place these days.  I am a major part of Mommy's exercise plan!

I'm still taking two naps a day.  I don't seem ready to give up the morning nap at all.  A couple times I've skipped my afternoon nap and that has been unpleasant for everyone.

Catch you later!
Andrew
