Just hanging out at Grandmas...taking the lotion....
I really enjoyed the Easter bunny cake. It was delicious!
I really wanted to get a hold of cousin Mike's cell phone....
Our family! I was much more smiley this year than last year's family Easter pic where I was super grumpy.
Opening a little Easter present.
Since Chuck E Cheese has opened we have been there three times. Can you tell our spring has been delayed and Daddy has been traveling and have had several days of rain in a row? I'm not complaining because I LOVE Chuck E Cheese. And I even am ok with the rides moving now!
I still really like Chuck!
On this particular visit, there was a Mom and a girl there celebrating her birthday. They bought a whole cake and only had the 2 of them to eat it, so they shared with us. Megan and I were quite thrilled with this!
Dancing along to the show!
Just a little bed head!
On one particular rainy day we went to Megan's future elementary school for the ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) "Drop In Playtime". We never do this because I still nap in the morning but on this week Mommy tried getting rid of my morning nap. It was an unsuccessful experiment as I started waking up at 4:30 a.m. and only taking hour naps. Anyway, back to drop in playtime. This was pretty fun. Megan pretended she was a necklace sales girl and I apparently needed a lot of necklaces. They had art projects out to work on, several play stations, some song time, and lots of new toys to explore. We loved it!
Aaaaaand we're back to Chuck E Cheese. Remember me telling you about the week where it rained every day?
On this week Daddy was traveling so Mommy surprised us by taking us to Chuck E Cheese for dinner. When you go at dinner time it's much busier and an extra character comes out. I'm not sure what this girl's name is but she was pretty awesome!
The other exciting news is that Cabelas opened in our town. Megan has been watching it closely and decided we needed to go to its grand opening. After circling the parking lot for nearly a half hour Mommy declared that we weren't going any more. Megan was pretty mad at mom for "giving up". We tried again the next day and got a parking spot right away. We looked at all of the "stuffed" animals and the aquarium. It's not as big as the one near Owatonna and not nearly as impressive but it's good.
The other really exciting news is that I got my first haircut! Mommy said my hair was bordering on "boy band hair" so it was time for a trim. Plus it was getting pretty unruly and hard to manage. This is the "before" shot.
Megan got her hair cut first. They put the movie Frozen on the TV. I'm pretty familiar with that movie so it was juts like home. I went next. Mommy was pretty nervous, but I did great. I didn't cry or fuss at all.
The first few cuts!
Olaf was singing "In Summer" . He's so funny.
Almost done...looking pretty handsome!
The new 'do! Still watching Frozen pretty intently...
And a graham cracker treat after we got home! So handsome!
My sister graduated from preschool. I wasn't all that interested in the program and spent most of the time running around. My mom did manage to get me to sit for awhile when she let me eat graham crackers and read books.
Another rare moment of me sitting.....
Mommy was a little sad thinking I wasn't going to have my cute bed head anymore..but fear not! I still have it!
Spring has sprung FINALLY! I try to be outside as much as possible. I go grab my shoes and bring them to someone who could put them on me. That is my signal to take me outside.
On Friday night we headed to Stillwater to pick up Daddy's race packet for his half marathon. Stillwater is a fun place to go as they have lots of places to eat along the river. It was a perfect night to dine by the river. I enjoyed my first pickle. I wasn't so sure of it at first and made funny faces at the sour taste. But then I decided it was really fun to chew on.
Yum! Pickles!
We went to Teddy Bear Park after dinner. This was my first time. I look pretty grumpy here but I mostly had fun. I spent the majority of the time pushing my stroller around, looking for other strollers to push, and doing everything but playing on all the fun play equipment.
What's new with me?
- I got 3 teeth this month. It was a busy month of drooling and biting
- My parents went on a weekend getaway to Sonoma California. Megan and I got to go to grandmas house! I did well!
- I'm saying more and more words. I can now say "Papa" and "Steve" now. I respond with an enthusiastic "YEAH!" all the time when you ask me something. I really understand a lot of what is going on around me. If you ask me to get my shoes I will get them. Today Mommy told me to put a magnet on the fridge and I went over and did it.
- If you ask me "How are you?" I say, "good!"
- I have been doing better at doing 1 nap some days. We are trying it a couple times a week. It all depends on what time I wake up in the morning. If I sleep until 8 the 1 nap day works. But if I get up at 7 it is too early for that and I need 2 naps.
- I would spend all day outside if I could. I always, ALWAYS want to go outside. Thank goodness the weather is finally nice enough!
