July-September 2015 Yay!

Ok, ok, I know.  We're really far behind again.  Mom says maybe when I start going to school one morning a week by myself she'll get caught up with life.  So let's go back to July.  We headed to MOA for Toddler Tuesday to see my pal Llama Llama in his red pajamas.  He didn't disappoint.
Blue from Blue's Clues was hanging out nearby so we got to give him a hug too.

They had a crafts table up.  I thoroughly enjoyed gluing 5,000 pieces of paper to a piece of paper.

Megan only wanted grilled cheese for lunch which makes it difficult in a food court.  Johnny Rockets came to the rescue.  If I remember correctly I was doing my best to be a pest for this lunch, taking all the straws out of the fun straw holder, taking a ridiculous amount of napkins out of the napkin holder, and other 2 year old type shenanigans.
Watching some Daniel Tiger while mom showered.  I'm pretty sure about 5 seconds after Mom took this picture we were fighting again.

We visited the puppet wagon nearly every Wednesday this summer.  It came to the park that is super close to our house.  Playing with the puppets after the show is always the highlight.

We took a little road trip to the Wisconsin Dells.  On our way we took a pit stop at UW-Stout where Mom went to college.  Three of the four of us got new Stout gear (they were fresh out of "Stout Husband T-Shirts").
I was a little crazy in the book store so Dad took us out exploring the new student center while Mom shopped.  We found this little nook that was super fun.

After shopping it was back on the road to the Great Wolf Lodge.  We got our ears, and realized if we went quickly, we could get to the train before it closed.  We made it just in time and went on a really fun little train ride.  Megan wore her wolf ears.  I wore my favorite Paw Patrol hat.

Mom and me on the train

After the train it was time to shop the gift store and play a bit.

After the train ride we headed to the Paul Bunyon restaurant.  Mom and Dad had the traditional family style dinner while Megan and I dined on grilled cheese I think.  I did try some of the family style dinner because I'm pretty much willing to try anything.

After dinner it was time to put our jammies on and head to the story time at the Great Wolf Lodge.
The best part of story time was getting to give the big raccoon a hug afterward.

The next morning we got up, had breakfast in our room, and jetted to the water park.  This pretend jet ski with a water gun was where I spent a good chunk of time.

In the afternoon after my nap we went to the Safari Train.
The train takes you through a pasture with Oryx, Eland, Nilgai, and Zebu.
Feeding the animals carrots was both delightful and a bit frightening.

If you give a camel a carrot.................he's going to want another.

After washing our hands thoroughly we went to Rosa Mexicana for dinner.  They had a pretend guy on a bench.  I was not one bit afraid.  My parents thought I'd just sit next to the guy on the bench like Megan.  Nope! I shimmied up his leg to sit on his lap.

Love my wolf ears!

I ran into these gals in the hallway on my way to story time.

There was a dance party after story time this night.

Ready for another morning at the water park
For our "dry" activity in the afternoon we went on the famous W
My parents were worried that I was going to get bored on an hour tour but I was positively delighted by the whole thing.  I LOVED when we were on land the most and going fast.  The water park was pretty cool too.

Last story time
Last attempt at a good photo with the big stuffed guys
 Ready to head home!
No trip to the Dells is complete without a stop at the "train restaurant" more commonly known as Buffalo Phils.

We were seated right next to the food/beverage station where the person puts the food or beverages or toys on the trains.  The "train lady" took a liking to me and my constant peering back at her and smiling and chatting.  After dinner she let me ring the "chooooo choooo" whistle.  What can I say? It pays to be friendly.
I all of a sudden started eating bananas this summer.  As you may recall, bananas were one food that I would always spit out.  Then one day I asked for a banana and now I love them.  I think it's mostly because I like eating them "like a monkey" as opposed to sliced up on my plate.

Megan and I singing before bedtime

Megan went to 5,000 camps this summer and I was usually disappointed that I didn't get to go too.  On the last day of cheer camp, the girls said they'd lift me up if I wanted.

I didn't quite understand that I was supposed to then stand up.  So they just held me for a picture.  It's not every day that two Gopher cheerleaders hold you.
And Megan joined in too!

Megan auditioned for the Pom team so that meant a lot of time at the dance studio for pre-audition rehearsals and audition rehearsals.  I was thankful they have this nice little picnic table for the "dance brothers" and it wasn't so bad when I got to play iPad, drink milk, and have snacks.  And yes, she made the team!

Another rite of summer is the local coin carnival.  High school kids run carnival style games at the park one morning.

I also completed medical school this summer so everyone is super proud of me.

We headed to the local community celebration for dinner and games one night.

The Minion ice cream bar was a highlight.  It was lucky that I was wearing my Minion shirt!

The travel agency had a Frozen photo op area.  We made their Facebook page.

And of course, a summer is not complete without a trip to the State Fair.  This year our company t-shirts were YELLOW with TRACTORS!  Really does not get any better for me.  And we got to go on a bus.
Doing my part to keep the grass in check at the fair.

Little farmhands
This is my serious farmer face
I loved all the baby animals at the Miracle of Birth center.
 Little piggy was SO CUTE

I wasn't the only kid who really liked to beep the horn

 Love love love rides

I love anything chocolate.  And the way I say chocolate is so cute.  At one point I yelled, "Oh no my chocolate!" and I had dropped a sizeable ice cream chunk on my shirt.  Despite her valiant efforts with pre-treating, stain sticks, extra washings, the chocolate stains never completely came out.
The bus ride home.  No naps for me on State Fair day and still smiling!

We loved having a park so close to our house this summer.  It's a quick 5 minute walk.

See this little kitty?  Daddy found her hanging out under his car at work one day.  There was a note on his windshield from a police officer alerting him to the kitten that had taken up residence in his wheel well.  A quick phone call to Mom to see what to do and she was loaded up in a box and brought home.  Megan and I were SO EXCITED to have a baby kitty at our house.

Megan named her Oreo.  We called the Humane Society but they couldn't get us in for three days.  Mommy put Oreo on Facebook to see if anyone would want her.  After we went to bed, Mom and Dad gave her a little sponge bath to get all the dirt off of her.

We just fell in love with her!  We took her to the vet and found out she was only 3.5 weeks old!  So Mommy needed to become Oreo's mommy too.

I was making a picnic for Oreo here.  Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Oreo.  Our other two cats were not impressed with a crazy kitten in our house.  We found a great home for her. Just in time for us to go to Camp!
We love camp!  This is us at chapel.

 Mom and me!
Annual pontoon ride.  Last year I did not participate because I refused to put on the lifejacket.  This year I LOVED my life jacket.
Driving the boat was the highlight for sure.  Sharing driving duties with Megan was a low point.

More time at chapel.  This year I willingly went to nursery.  That was another thing I refused to do last year.  2.5 year olds are much easier than 1.5 year olds according to Mom.

Paddle boat ride with Mom and Dad.  I was not happy when it was done, but the boat was taking on water at an alarming rate so we really needed to get back to the dock.
All of us happy campers!
 Carpet ball!!!

The end of camp means one thing...... THE START OF SCHOOL!  Here is Megan going on her bus.
Yay! I get Mom all to myself from 9-4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These blocks are still a hit.  Dad is getting really good at making elaborate structures.
Did I mention elaborate structures?  Mom can't compete.
We had a back to school neighborhood block party that Mom helped plan.  She was in charge of the bouncy house.  I think I speak for all of the kids when I say "bravo mom..bravo!"

The police came by also and the kids got to explore the police car.

Yes, this person is a real police officer.  He said he'd been on the job about a week so far.
Mom and I met up with two of her friends and their kids in Burnsville.  We were a bit late because I was throwing a massive fit in the car.  Mom said I needed to chill out before taking me out in public.  I had taken my shoes and socks off in the car and was mad that Mom wouldn't pull over to immediately put them back on.  I know... crazy right?  So mean.
We had a fabulous time in the play area.
Digging with a pal at church.  We had a picnic after church to celebrate our 5 year anniversary as a church.
One final swim before the pool closed for the year.  We certainly got our money's worth this summer.  And Megan and I really improved on our swimming skills!

As evidenced by our performance at swimming lessons.  Something amazing happened where I really matured over the summer and have become so attentive in classes and a really good listener!
Oh look who is back?!  It's Oreo (actually renamed Cookie but I still call her Oreo).  Her new owner needed to go on a business trip so we were kitten sitters for a week.
And look who also had a first day of school?!

I am running down the hall to see my favorite teacher in the whole wide world....Miss Jodi
This fall I go to school one day per week with Mom.  Starting 2nd semester, I'll get to also go to school on Friday ALL.BY.MY.SELF!  <Insert mom's hoorays as well>
I also started "Tots" dance class. It's basically the same class as my Mommy and Me that I took last year except no more Mommy!  I do it all by myself and have done really well.  I'm quite the dancer.
Since I was familiar with the beanie bag dance, I thought I'd go up front and help Miss Kathy teach the class.

It was time to say goodbye to Oreo again.  We just love Oreo but she is a crazy kitten who likes to play and bite! Mom said it was a good experience to know that we are not ready for a kitten.  Our lazy almost 10 year old cats are perfect for our family.

Mom and I really like grocery stores so on the GRAND OPENING of the new Hy-Vee store we braved the insane parking lot and checked it out.  I give it an A+ on shopping carts.
The store was crazy busy and I ran into a display of jam with my "Shopper In Training" cart, so we decided to forget shopping and just have lunch at the restaurant attached to the store.  Kids eat free on Tuesdays so it was a win around.

Enjoying a beautiful fall day
Big Truck Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Easily the best day of fall for me.  The library parking lot is full of various trucks, tractors, etc that you can climb in and pretend to drive.  This year they even had a mail truck!  I'm obsessed with all things mail and mail trucks these days.  Every day after dropping Megan off at the bus, I drive my bike, go to the "post office" (grassy area by our mailbox), and get packages to deliver to Mom (Usually blades of grass, although one day I handed Mom a live grasshopper. That sure got her attention!)

Pete the Cat even made an appearance.

WHEW!  Ok that is July to September!  I'll also be posting a joint blog with Megan to tell you about our family vacation to Pennsylvania .  And eventually we'll catch up to October as well.  Thanks for hanging in there.
